The prime minister is set to give a speech today outlining his vision of London’s East End becoming a UK version of Silicon Valley.

He will say: “Our ambition is to bring together the creativity and energy of Shoreditch and the incredible possibilities of the Olympic Park to help make East London one of the world’s great technology centres.”

East London is set to see major investment in order to become the centre of innovation. The area is thought to stretch from Old Street to Stratford, where the Olympic Park is situated.

Glenn Shoosmith, co-founder of BookingBug, is to share his startup story and ideas on London’s East End.

We will have more information later today.
