BookingBug opens it’s doors at FOWA thanks to Sun Startup Essentials

October 15, 2008

So here at BookingBug we finally announced ourselves to the world last week a bit more publicly. We’re still in Beta, but we’re now officially open for business, which is a great step forward!

Our chosen venue was the Future of Web Apps show held in the Excel centre in East London last week, and we were there due to the very kind graces of Stewart Townsend and the excellant Sun Startup Essentials programme http://uk.sun.com/startupessentials/

So, Sun kindly gave as a space on their stand in which to present and show off BookingBug (you can see all of their photo’s here http://www.flickr.com/groups/880802@N23/pool/ ) and met a lot of very interesting and enthusiastic people

The great thing about this is that on the second day we took part in a pitching competion organized by Mike Butcher fron Tech crunch – which we then won ! (http://uk.techcrunch.com/2008/10/13/techcrunch-pitch-fowa-the-runaround-version/)

It’s taken  a few days to recover from the event – but we’re now back on track and raring to go!
